DAUGHTERS OF MALAWI | 4:00 PM - 4:20 PM
Four young Malawian women share their journeys; from wanting to play football, being a lead guitarist, living with a disability, and supporting victims of sexual abuse. Each living their lives in the hope of inspiring other women to feel empowered.
Director Biography - Camille Nock, James Dartnall
Camille is a social conscious director that is driven to create films that make a difference. Camille has a unique talent in creating connections with her subjects, giving them confidence to become their true selves in front of the camera. Her most recent short explores female empowerment in Malawi. We are all excited to see how this wonderful film can make a difference!

James Dartnall creates films with a social or environmental message at their heart. He strives to tell stories purely from an observational standpoint, allowing his subjects to convey any messages through personal experience, knowledge and expertise.

An exploration of cycling culture through the eyes of Ayesha McGowan who rose through the ranks of the New York City underground cycling world to break barriers as the world's first African American woman to become a professional cyclist.
Director Biography - K. Nicole Mills
K. Nicole Mills is Los Angeles based filmmaker originally from the Washington DC area. After spending years learning the craft of filmmaking by working for several filmmakers, she recently produced and directed her first short film, A RACE IN THE SUN. The short film revolves around Ayesha McGowan, the first African American woman to become a professional cyclist.

K. Nicole has worked on films such as Space Jam: A New Legacy, and on series such as Amazon’s Harlem helmed by Tracy Oliver, Hulu’s Wu Tang: An American Saga, and several NBC pilots. She started her career in the NBC Page Program working in Development, and then went on to work in Alternative Programming and Development where she was involved in the development of series such as The Voice, The Biggest Loser and more. K. Nicole currently works at Universal Pictures.

Director Biography - Lawrence Lee Wallace
Founder of the film and TV production Company Deep Productions Studios. Previous works include the sketch comedy series Urban Scenze, Marvel Comics "Night Thrasher: RAVE" with Eric Lane (Chicago PD, Rel, Amazon's "The Girls & Rodney", No Chi-Raq the series, Tylon-Warren Productions "Sunshine Day") also available on Amazon and most recently the dark comedy "Pieces of David" starring Cynda Williams (Mo' Betta Blues, One False Move, Caught Up) and the feature animated film "To Your Last Death" starring the voices of Morena Baccarin(Gotham, Deadpool) Ray Wise(Twin Peaks, Fresh off The Boat) and William Shatner(Star Trek and more).
