About this Event
San Francisco has been mandated to have a credible plan to build 82,000 units by 2032 - but only built about 1,200 new units in 2024. What led us to this point, and what does it mean for the future of the city? How did the city of free love become the city of expensive housing, and where does our future take us? This session will kick off our week-long series with critical context, history, and discussion of the big-picture strategies which might lead us towards more equitable and affordable housing in the city. Join award-winning author and New York Times Journalist Conor Dougherty in covering the background and key context for the rest of our housing discussion
