Sexual Literary and Screen Printing Workshop for Indigenous Youth
Hosted by Abigail Turner, the Program Coordinator of the Indigenous Response Network at the Victoria Sexual Assault Centre.
Abigail will be joined by two talented, and surprise Indigenous artists at the event who will be guiding the art portion. To find out the surprise artists follow @victoriasexualassaultcentre on Instagram for the announcements.
The sexual literacy class will be hosted by Maggie Stevens (she/her), a Health Promotion Educator at AVI Health & Community Services.
VSAC's Indigenous Crisis Counsellor Michelle Gregoire (she/her) will be around if anyone needs anything during the event.
This workshop is for Indigenous youth aged 19-25, please only register if you fall within this age cateogory. There are only 15 spots available so register quickly!
The schedule of events is as follows:
10am-12pm - sexual literacy class
12-1pm - lunch (food will be provided)
1-4pm - screen printing workshop (all materials will be provided)
The event is on the third floor, and there is an elevator. Restrooms are single stall, gender-neutral. If you have any dietary restrictions, or other accesibility needs please reach out via email ([email protected]).
