Whether you are looking for a complete beginner's guide to sexual health, or a refresher of current information, this session will increase your knowledge and confidence in discussing sexual health and relationships with a variety of service users and young people.
Whilst we highly recommend you attend for the full day, those working with adults-only may wish to attend the morning session only.
Sexual Health Key Messages - Morning Session
- Using our Wave Education materials, you will participate in interactive learning 'zones' covering key topics such as condoms, contraception, STIs, and the law
- We will also explore rationale, hopes, and fears, for discussing sexual health & relationships with service users
Working With Young People - Afternoon Session
- Young people's influences and experiences of sexual health and relationships
- What do young people want from the professionals around them?

The workshops have been created to support High Life Highland staff, but are open and relevant to a range of professionals across community learning, youth work, and similar settings - please note that teachers may instead wish to join our specific workshop later in the year.

Our training is funded by NHS Highland – if you cannot make it, please contact us to ensure someone else can access the session. Sessions may be postponed or cancelled up to and including the day of training if insufficient sign-up or attendance, though we will aim to give participants as much notice of this as possible. Small drop-out charges may apply if you fail to attend an in-person session without notice. Spaces are generally firstly allocated to those from statutory and third sector organisations – please contact us if you wish to arrange training for a private company as charges may apply.
