Stuck on a tricky step? The Sewing Surgery is a dedicated one-on-one session designed to help you hurdle a specific obstacle. It’s not a long, formal class—it’s a friendly, focused boost to help you find your flow and finish that project you love.

• Targeted Support: We focus entirely on one "pain point," like a stubborn zipper, a mystery fit issue, or confusing pattern instructions.
• Time-Smart: A quick, 30-minute burst of progress is often all you need to save hours of frustration at home.
• Skill-Building: You won’t just watch us work. You’ll get hands-on experience so you can tackle the same problem with confidence next time.

1. Save Your Spot: Pick a 30-minute time slot that works with your Sunday plans.
2. Pack Your Project: Bring along your garment, the pattern, and any thread you'd like to use.
3. Collaborate: Sit down with an expert for a focused half-hour of troubleshooting and guided sewing.

• The First 5 Minutes: We’ll look at the issue together, chat about your goal, and get the machine ready to go.
• The Middle 20 Minutes: This is the "doing" phase. We’ll show you the best technique and guide you through the fix yourself.
• The Final 5 Minutes: We’ll wrap up with a quick recap of the tips we covered and a plan for how you can finish the rest at home.

• Your Project: Don't forget some fabric scraps from your project—they’re perfect for testing out stitches.
• Your Sewing Machine: If your machine is acting up, definitely bring it along!
• The Paperwork: If you have the manual or the pattern instructions, they can be very helpful for reference.

How to find the Workshop

We are located at 39 High Bridge, Newcastle City Centre (NE1 1EW).

• Walking: We’re just a few minutes' walk from Grey Street or a 5-minute walk from Monument Metro.
• Parking: The nearest parking is at Dean Street Car Park (a 3-minute walk) or Manors Car Park.
• Entry: When you arrive, head into the alleyway where you will see a white door. The buzzer is currently being shy, so please send a quick text to 07453 480080 when you're outside, and I’ll come down to let you in!
