Tuesday 16 July | 10am - 12pm | $68 | Ages 8+This is a sewing workshop for children aged 8+. It will teach children all the basics through learning how to Sew a Trendy Tote. Children will be shown how to join several pieces of fabric together in a very neat manner and learn easy tips and tricks to getting started with their sewing. Your child will leave feeling inspired and proud after making their own tote bag to use made of colours they chose.
In this workshop we will provide everything needed along with funky fabrics to choose from. An easy project for children to get inspired with sewing.
Gracie Mathews is the best tutor to teach your child, she oozes enthusiasm for everything textile. In addition to teaching and travelling New Zealand for a fabric supplier she has her own business offering a variety of costume and sewing services including hire, manufacture, costume and sewing experience packages and continues to share her personal costume and textile collection through symposiums, events and exhibitions.
Who is this workshop designed for?
This sewing workshop is for all children who want to give sewing a go!
Children must be aged 8+ years old. Please do not register children under the age of 8 in this class.
What to bring?
All art related materials are included in the fee.
Children can bring a water bottle and snacks.
