Welcome to Sewing Alterations Workshop event! Join us at Harborne Academy on Wednesday 10 June 2026 at 6:30 PM TO 9.30 PM for an exciting evening of learning and creativity.

Do you want to learn some basic clothig alterations, then this workshop is for you?

Dorcas Designs Sewing: Tutor: Veronica Baxter

If you are a total beginner or haven’t done any sewing for a while, this workshop is aimed to help you learn practical basic alterations. We will supply the machines, tools and equipment.

The workshop will focus on altering a pair of trousers and will include:

• Unpick, mark and pin your alterations

• Take up let down hems

• How to lengthen trousers adding a false hem

• How to replace buttons on jeans/trousers correctly as well as other fastenings

• And more….

You wil need to bring Your Own Garment
