What can you sew, besides fabric? In Sew What, students ages 10–16 will explore sewing in creative and unexpected ways, using materials like fabric, felt, cardboard, paper, plastic, beads, and more to create a variety of unique projects.
This four-day summer camp is a fun, hands-on opportunity to try something new, learn foundational sewing skills, and experiment with different materials and techniques. Students will explore hand sewing stitches, try embroidery, and get an introduction to machine sewing in a relaxed, encouraging environment.
No experience needed, just come ready to create, explore, and see what happens.
Summer camps at Wayne Center for the Arts are designed as short, low-pressure, engaging experiences that fit into busy summer schedules while giving students the chance to discover new interests and build creative confidence.
