About this Event
This session: BRING a pre-loved SHIRT to upcycle by adding POOF SLEEVES!
Learn how to add ruffled puffed up shoulders or full sleeves into a shirt! You’ll learn how to make ruffles with a gathering stitch, how to adjust a sleeve pattern, sew an elastic band into a garment, and more.
Extra materials & sewing machines are provided!
If you have your own sewing machine you'd like to learn how to use, you are welcome to bring it with you.

The workshop takes place at Vers :: Clothing for People - a collective boutique & studio featuring dozens of local designers.
The cost of the class is sliding scale $30-60, you choose what you're able to pay. This helps support the community space, the teaching artists, and students of all levels!
PS! Come to our Vers Swap Meet on Sunday June 14th, 3-6PM to get free clothes to upcycle! Bring what you can, take what you want: clothing, fabric & arts supplies!
