For complete beginners or early sewers with only limited skills. Learn the basics from hand to machine sewing, buttoning to corners and curves. You'll also graduate having created your very own sewing set, pincushion, scissor holder, needle holder, drawstring bag, sewing machine mat, zipper bag, and a tote to carry it all.

18 April - 27 June
For graduates of the Beginners class or those with base skills looking to progress to dressmaking and more advanced techniques, expect to improve your reading of designs, fitting patterns, marking fabric etc. You'll leave having created pants, A-line skirt and a dress.

Full-term fees are $150 for 10 weeks of classes, to be paid prior to commencement of classes.
Plus CAHRS membership of $25 (or only $10 for 17 & Unders), if you are not already a member for the financial year the course takes place in (available as an add-on when you check out).

Sewing since she was 8 years old, Lynn has been a CAHRS member for a couple of years, is a Fairbridge Craft Retreat alumni, and has been acting as an assistant teacher for the past year of sewing classes, helping Marissa create the best graduates possible.

BYO sewing machine, essentials kit (needle, thread, scissors, pins, tape measure etc) and materials. Please note, Beginners kits are able to be purchased at the event if you cannot organise one yourself.
