Join us for a fun and easy sewing machine workshop for beginners!
If you have always wanted to learn how to sew, or if you have a sewing machine you don't know how to use, this workshop is for you! We will teach you everything you need to know to start sewing with confidence and flair!
In this workshop, you will:
- Learn how to set up your sewing machine, thread it, wind the bobbin, and change the needle and foot
- Practice your stitching and understanding seam allowances
- Learn about planning your project and learning about fabric types & choosing the right fabric for the project
- Learn key sewing techniques and the related jargon
- Assemble, stitch and finish your bag with a professional finish
- Relax and enjoy the process of creating something beautiful with your own hands
You will also get:
- Fabrics to practice sewing on
- Materials needed to make your bag
- Expert guidance and tips
- Email support for the next 3 months
- Spare threads, needles and tools for use during the workshop
What you need to bring:
- Your own sewing machine with its power cable if you are not borrowing one from us.
- Sewing machine manual and all the accessories that came with it
- Bobbin and bobbin case if applicable
- Good quality threads in 2/3 colors if you have them
- A full sewing kit (you can buy one from us if you want)
- Notepad and pen
Note: Your sewing machine needs to be recently serviced and in good working condition.
If you don't have a sewing machine, you can borrow one from us for a small fee.
You can request a private group session for 5-8 people at a location of your choice.
Note: If less than 5 participants have booked on the course, we will reschedule the workshop for a more convenient date. Priority will be given to existing paid participants first who have the option to confirm or cancel within 7 days.
