Sew A Summer Dress Workshop

Using your own unique measurements, cut and sew a simple dress from just a rectangle of fabric. Attendees

will receive hands-on instruction and a printed instruction booklet with their custom

calculated cutting diagram for later reference. The workshop will cover basic garment

making skills such as:

●Accurately taking body measurements

●Cutting from a diagram

●Gathering

●Bias facing

●Hemming

●Following construction steps

This workshop is ideal for beginners who have experience using a sewing machine or

sewists of any skill level beyond looking for a fun and relaxing project! Attendees should

bring 3.5* continuous yards of a lighter weight woven fabric, such as cotton, linen, or even thrifted bedsheets that they would like to work with that are laundered and free from wrinkles.

We recommend bringing your own machine if you already own one to become

better acquainted with it. Studio machines are available for use.
