About this Event
Seven Kitchens: A Journey Through India’s Culinary Heritage is Torie True’s second cookbook. Her first, Chilli & Mint: Indian Home Cooking from a British Kitchen was published in November 2021 and was well received globally, being shortlisted for a Gourmand World Cookbook Award.
Torie has learnt her craft over the last 25 years from her travels to India, learning from home cooks as well as chefs, attending The Bangala’s masterchef course in Tamil Nadu and her husband’s Indian family in the UK and Kolkata. She is passionate about cooking with spices and aims to instil her love and enthusiasm to those who attend her popular cookery classes, demonstrations and book tour talks. A member of the Guild of Food Writers and a Great Taste Judge, Torie lives in London with her husband and two daughters.
