Garryana oak makes absolutely delicious whiskey. Similar to Mizunara, it imparts a ton of subtle deep notes to whiskey, but also like Mizunara, they take forever to grow and are already in short supply. This Earth Day, we talk with Westland about how the make their coveted yearly Garryana release, as well as the conservation efforts they utilize to ensure this majestic oak stays with us for a long time.
