About this Event
Setting Up in Private Practice
A workshop with Alistair Park
Sunday 8th September 2024
10am-1pm
Developing the tools to practice as a counsellor or psychotherapist is a long, challenging and costly business. Getting ready to earn money from the practice you have trained for can be equally, but differently, challenging, both emotionally and practically.
This workshop aims to help counsellors and psychotherapists hoping to work in Private Practice focus their minds on the issues to be explored, decisions to be made and actions to be taken in the process of setting up and establishing a Practice.
It will focus on the three key aspects of setting up a private practice:
-The practical essentials
-Professional and ethical aspects
-Business and Financial management
The workshop will be practical and interactive. Participants will be encouraged to develop their own draft plan and to work through their own process throughout the session.
Alistair Park is a Psychoanalytic Psychotherapist and Supervisor working mainly in private practice in Central London.
