"Setting the Mood in Your Story" - with Melik Demirel
What is it about?
Mood, aka atmosphere, is the emotion that a writer wishes to convey, including happiness, worry, or displeasure. It enhances the environment, gives characters life, and reaffirms the main idea of a narrative.
In this workshop, instead of filmmaking or screenwriting techniques, we'll focus on the tools such as colour palettes, symbols, subjects, objects and conflicts. Those facts will help to reach the readers, even when they close their eyes, letting them imagine our atmosphere.
In that case, some scenes or frames of the movies will be our cheat sheet. :)
Our special guest who will lead this workshop:
Melik Demirel
In one word, M. Demirel is a storyteller in different fields. He was born and raised in İstanbul, Turkey. He got a scholarship to study film school in Bahcesehir University and his master's degree is from the Tallinn University Digital Learning Games program.
He has 8+ years of experience in the film industry, mainstream media and digital media as a writer, content creator and video editor. Currently he works works as a content writer in the e-commerce world.
