This workshop is for founders looking to build a product - either hardware or software. Building a product and successfully taking it to market is rewarding but is also very challenging. Just having cool technology and some funding is not usually enough to succeed - you’ll need a clear plan and a great team to execute it.

In this workshop we will draw on real-world experience - we will explore the steps involved in developing a product and bringing it to market, and we will look at the practical challenges of building the business to make that happen.

Agenda:

-       We will look at the steps that you’ll need to go through in order to bring a product to market and describe a New Product Development process.

-       We will also look at the practical challenges of building a product focussed company - setting a clear strategy, delivering a plan, and building a business with the right skills.

In a career that spans academia, multinationals and start-ups, Steve has worked on technology ranging from quantum optics to plastic displays. In 2019 he founded IMPAX consulting to help companies bring game-changing technologies to market. Steve is also the Chair of early stage companies including Actuation Lab and LumOptica and he's an adviser and mentor to others.
