Set It Up: A Workshop in Repurposed Materiality

This exciting workshop is led by teaching artist Luka Veroz. Participants will build and create objects with discarded materials such as paper, cardboard, and wood. These objects will be added to Veroz’s “Set Ups.”  “Set Ups” is an immersive collaborative art installation.

Luka will build the framework for the installation. Vergoz plans to lift surfaces up from the floor, providing a range of heights within the landscape for participants to address. There will be places to set things, places to hang elements, places to lean objects, etc. The framework will take inspiration from their own work, process, and surroundings and will likely include wood, metal, fabric, paper and other materials. 

This installation will contain both abstract and figurative components, celebrating the tension between the nameable and unnamable.
