Are you ready to embark on your next tabletop role-playing adventure, or just looking for a way to reconnect with your table mid session without breaking the flow of the game? Join us for a discussion on Session Zero and RPG Safety Tools, essential components for creating a fun, inclusive, and respectful gaming experience. A packet of suggested Safety Tools will be provided for you to take home for personal reference.
In this workshop we will discuss:
- The importance of Session Zero, a preparation session where players and GM’s align on expectations, boundaries, character creation, and world-building.
- A variety of safety tools like the X-Card, Lines and Veils, and Open Door policy, designed to ensure that all participants feel safe and supported during gameplay.
Whether you’re new to TTRPG’s or a seasoned player, understanding and being able to use these tools will make the game more enjoyable for everyone at the table, including the DM. Bring your questions, ideas, and enthusiasm!
