This is a slow, somatic deep dive into the mechanics and magic of fluid belly dance movement. We’ll begin with targeted mobility training to unlock smooth transitions and nuanced articulation, followed by bodyweight and resistance band strength training to cultivate greater power and control. We’ll use yoga mats, take our time, and move with intention. This is about feeling into the movement, not rushing through reps.In the final portion of the workshop, we’ll bring it all together with focused drills- intensely gooey, stretchy, and technical, all designed to help you integrate the work into your dance.
You’ll leave feeling like a noodle… and with a new level of awareness, strength, and fluidity in your shoulders, spine, and whole-body expression.
