P&T Knitwear is pleased to welcome Serena Chopra to celebrate and discuss her poetry collection A Catalog of Future Mercies; a lyrical exploration of mercy as resistance to cyclical violence told in ghost stories and family histories
Serena will be in conversation with Alicia Mountain, and will sign books after the talk!
Doors open at 6:30pm with the talk starting closer to 7:00pm. Come early and grab a drink from the !

ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Serena Chopra is a writer, dancer, filmmaker, and performance artist. She is a recipient of an NEA Creative Writing Fellowship and is a MacDowell Fellow, a Kundiman Fellow, a RedLine Artist In-Residence and a Fulbright Scholar. Serena has an MFA from the University of Colorado at Boulder and a PhD from the University of Denver. She is Associate Professor of Creative Writing at Seattle University. A Catalog of Future Mercies (Graywolf Press, 2026) is her third book.
ABOUT THE MODERATOR
Alicia Mountain is the author of Four in Hand (BOA 2023). Her debut collection, High Ground Coward (Iowa 2018), won the Iowa Poetry Prize. Mountain co-edited the 2023 edition of Judy Grahn’s The Highest Apple. Her work has been published by The Nation, Academy of American Poets, Poetry Northwest, and American Poetry Review, and elsewhere. Mountain has a MFA from the University of Montana and a PhD from the University of Denver. She practices psychoanalysis at the National Institute for the Psychotherapies. Mountain lives in New York City, where she is an Assistant Teaching Professor in the Brooklyn Writer’s Foundry low-residency MFA program at St. Joseph’s University.
