✨🪐 Sweet Run State Park's Earth & Sky Adventures offer park visitors a steller opportunity to explore after hours with a sunset hike followed by stargazing with the Northern Virginia Astronomy Club (NOVAC)!🥾 FIRST HALF: Experience the sights and sounds of the park at twilight with a leisurely guided hike starting from the main parking lot (bring a small flashlight). The Interpretive Center will be open to enjoy hands-on astronomy and nocturnal-themed activities and displays with park rangers & naturalists!
⭐️ SECOND HALF: Gather behind the Interpretive Center where members of the Northern Virginia Astronomy Club (NOVAC) will orient you to the night sky and offer telescopic views of planets, galaxies, nebulae, and other wonders.
*⭐️ Stargazing is weather dependent; Interpretive Center is open rain or shine!
🔦 Red cellophane and rubber bands will be provided to cover flashlights.
🧣 Bring a blanket or chair and your curiosity and prepare to be star struck!
