CLUB RIDE: "GUISE IN TIES" - SOCIAL RIDE #1Join the Cyclepaths for our monthly themed Club Rides. "Guise in Ties" is September's sub-club - think "sub"scription. This is a series of social rides, 2-3 a month, that focus on social and themed ride aspects of cycling. Instead of a good cycling club lasting forever, we are going to K*ll it after a few rides and start up a new one the next month. Possible options for the next monthly clubs are "The Acadamy of Fists" and "the Sandwich Rides".
Open to all, but leave your testosterone lined water bottles at home.
Details:
SUNDAY, SEPT. 14TH, 8 am - 11 am
The first one will leave Brown Cycles back parking lot at 8 am and ride to the Palisade Farmers Market via the bike path. At the market we all will be guzzling something I discovered - Peachade. It’s a purrade peach juice with lemonade added to it, served ice cold. So delish. Shaken, never stirred. After creating trouble at the market, we will head back on the bike path - same way we came.
Requirements:
Any rickety old bike is encouraged. 3 speeds n 5 speeds will get you more street cred. Nickers and bonnets will take it over the top. Think tweed ride. Ties are available and will be on hand for those that don't show up with them.
Let's face it. We are cyclists of honor, ties become us.
