Our September meeting falls on Saturday 12, when we will welcome Terry Goodfellow to give us his talk "Up Close and Personal."Leeds member and frequent Manchester attendee Terry started to collect cactus and succulents ten years ago as subjects for his photography hobby, “because they never complain”. As you would expect, this got out of hand, and his burgeoning collection became the focus for various scientific studies. One of these, started as a result of an off-the-cuff remark during Hull member Bob Hall's talk on the late Colin Norton’s collection.
In this talk, Terry will take you on his journey of discovery, the plants closer than you’ve probably looked, and some of the ways in which he problem-solved to gain the picture.
