About this Event
The Carver Museum invites the community to join us for Sensory-Friendly Tuesdays throughout April in honor of Autism Awareness Month. Each Tuesday, guests can enjoy a more inclusive museum experience with access to noise-canceling headphones and our newly created Zen Zone designed for comfort and calm. Autism Awareness Month, first established in the 1970s and nationally recognized in April since the 1980s, promotes understanding, acceptance, and support for individuals on the autism spectrum. At the Carver, we are committed to creating spaces that honor both cultural expression and accessibility, ensuring that all visitors can connect with Black history, art, and storytelling in a welcoming and supportive environment.
