About this Event
Sensory Friendly Open Studio: Collage and Zines
This studio is especially for for neurodivergent youth and adults ages 14+ (Autistic, ADHD, LDs, IDDs, other Neurodevelopmental, and related disabilities) who want an accessable, low-pressure, creative environment or class.
Make a collage, zine, or both.
This is a lightly guided session. We'll show you a simple zine fold, go over different collage techniques (layering, composition, texture), and have materials ready for you.
You can:
- Make a mini zine (4–8 pages)
- Make a single collage
- Make a collage zine (pages of cut and pasted images)
We make together. That means a shared table, quiet company, and the option to chat if you want.
Headphones are welcome. Sharing optional.
Accessibility
- All communication styles are welcome and supported, whether you speak, sign, write, use assistive technology or AAC, gesture, or communicate in another way.
- Regulation tools are welcome (Noise-reducing headphones, earplugs, fidgets, weighted blankets, or any regulation tools you utilize.)
