SENSES EMBODIED: a special ecstatic dance, and reiki journey! @breahyoung and I will be collaborating and taking everyone on a five senses exploration before the dance and then Breah🌻 will share her gift of Reiki. We are in these physical bodies and often it’s easy to lose touch with the five senses and being in these bodies. With all the life stressors and many different roles we play, it’s important to slow down, feel and savor the present moment and sensory experiences. This collaboration will support in facilitating, a deeper awareness of the senses and how they show up in one’s body and life. Traveling with the five senses can support in regulating the nervous system, feeling more calm and present and so much more. Allowing the dance to be a companion with the senses, and then allowing Reiki to infuse one’s physical body and energetic body with further clarity and awareness of what is here and now.
Excited to be collaborating with @ellentrumbo at
https://allartworks.com/ (All ART Works) space in Grand Rapids!

Tickets for the dance event are $20 (Venmo or PayPal @lexamaxdi or cash at the door). $5 from each ticket will be donated to All Art Works!
All are welcomed to join in this dance! Let your intuition guide and show up if called.
We will begin the journey with a meditation/grounding, intuitive ritual and brief sharing circle. After, the dance will commence and close with a sharing circle.

Breah’s Bio:
Ever since I was a little girl, my senses were heightened to the world around me. People, animals, plants, the elements, weather. For as long as I can remember, I have known it and loved it like it was home. My feet bare, splashing in any body of water I found. In the trees or dirt catching critters just to say, “I love you,” before letting them go. My eyes toward the sun, moon and stars in aww of their dance and balance. I have never lost my childish whimsy and use my sensitive relationship with all my senses to connect deeply with my intuition, and the life force energy that moves through all living beings.
My relationship with Reiki began in 2015 when it helped me process and release stagnant energy trapped in my body from the birth of my son that left my legs partially paralyzed for a few months after his birth. Then in 2021, after building a deeply personal relationship with mindfulness, meditation, breath, and somatic practices throughout my own healing journey, I became certified in Reiki I & II, and Advanced Reiki. Since 2021, I’ve been incorporating an Integrative approach to Reiki, restoring balance and inner peace. Promoting relaxation and empowering the connection between body, mind and soul.

River/Alexa's Bio:
Dance has been a soulful companion throughout my life. I first discovered ecstatic dance in the Red Woods of California in 2019 and became inspired to share this embodied, community driven and holistic practice. It has been a gift to host and co-create events in Lansing and Traverse City, Michigan, along with British Columbia, Canada. Ecstatic dance offers organic body movement, feeling waves of e-motions and connecting in a space that is supportive and liberating. Dance feels like home and sharing it is a calling and return to love.
