About this Event
Twice a year, the Seniors’ Agenda Network Summit brings together nearly 200 professionals, aging advocates, and elected officials to actively engage in meaningful learning to strengthen our community for older adults.
Santa Clara County’s Age-Friendly Action plan was adopted in 2020, and it is set to be renewed this year. In it was a goal to host a summit on universal design in public spaces. This summit meets this goal and highlights this important topic.
Speakers will present on various topics related to the importance of incorporating older adults of all abilities in community planning, discuss more nuanced aspects of universal design, and hear how a public-facing County department, Parks, is incorporating older adults into their long-term planning.
This event will be co-sponsored by Santa Clara Family Health Plan.
Sign-language interpretation available upon request if received by September 16, 2024.
Please note that this event will be photographed but participants will have the opportunity to opt out of the use of the photograph when signing in.
