It's National Library Week! Meet the librarians and hear about unusual collections and surprising research discoveries over the last century. Get a window into the research process used to create our May 2025 cemetery tour, featuring WWII veterans. You will learn how to use a research library through a fun interactive game of bingo. SSS programs ignite curiosity, social interaction, health, and community involvement. In coordination with Mapping Medicare, we continue this program quarterly on Wednesday afternoons. Win door prizes and enjoy complimentary Dead River Coffee Roasters coffee. All ages welcome. Free program. Call 906-226-3571 or visit marquettehistory.org for more info.
National Library Week, April 6–12, 2025, is a time to celebrate the many ways libraries bring people together, spark imagination, and support lifelong learning. First celebrated in 1958, National Library Week is a national observance sponsored by the American Library Association and libraries of all types across the country each April.
We invite the community to join the celebration! Whether you're a longtime patron or haven’t visited, now is the perfect time to explore all the J.M. Longyear Research Library has to offer. https://www.ala.org/conferencesevents/celebrationweeks/natlibraryweek
