Senior Stroll: Riverfront RambleTuesday, March 24
9-11 a.m.
Join a naturalist for a casual stroll through one of our state parks or local historic areas. Each month, we’ll focus on a topic related to natural or cultural history. Wear your walking shoes and dress for the weather – we’ll go out rain, snow or shine! Meet at the designated location. Maps will be provided upon registration. Trail conditions vary – see program descriptions for more details.
This month we'll take a leisurely walk along the riverfront, touching on the general history of the area, including shipping and industry, Prohibition and the Underground Railroad. We'll also take time to observe the changing season and natural features along the way. The entire trail is level and paved. We will be walking about half a mile.
Preregistration is required. This is a free outdoor event. Regular admission fees apply for building access.
