Through gentle, mindful movement, we'll inhabit the wisdom of deciduous plants as they prepare for winter.Discover how trees withdraw nutrients from leaves back into roots, creating the spectacular fall colors we love. Experience the formation of the abscission layer—the intentional seam where leaves separate cleanly from branches. Feel what dormancy really means: not emptiness, but patient, hidden vitality.
Through both guided and free flowing organic movement sequences, we'll explore rooting down, retrograde flow of resources from periphery to core, and the art of generous letting go. Partner and group exercises mirror nutrient sharing through fungal networks and the transformation of fallen leaves into soil.
This workshop offers both literal body awareness and metaphorical insight into life transitions. What are you ready to release? What resources need gathering inward? How might you honor your own seasons of withdrawal and rest?
No movement experience necessary. All bodies welcome. Come prepared to move slowly, rest deeply, and discover autumn's teachings in your own tissue.
