Returning for the second year, this family-friendly event series will offer a new angle and insight into how County departments work to deliver the highest quality of public services.
Who: Families and residents of all ages are welcome to attend!

1. Environmental Services and Utilities
Saturday, April 18,10 a.m.–noon
South East Regional Water Supply Facility, 3304 Dike Road, Winter Park
Ever wonder how water gets from the aquifer to your faucet? Tour Seminole County’s South East Regional Water Supply Facility and see how it all connects. Plus, discover how watershed protection, conservation efforts, recycling programs, and mosquito control all work together to protect Seminole County’s natural resources.
2. Public Works
Thursday, April 23, 6–8 p.m.
Public Works Building, 140 Bush Loop, Sanford
The Public Works Department plays a key role in supporting daily life across Seminole County. From designing, constructing, and maintaining roads to managing stormwater systems and keeping traffic moving safely, you’ll get a behind-the-scenes look at the people, equipment, and services that make it all possible.
3. Emergency Management
Wednesday, April 29, 6–8 p.m.
Seminole County Animal Services, 232 Eslinger Way, Sanford
Discover how the County stays prepared to respond to natural disasters and emergencies. Meet the adoptable dogs and cats available at Seminole County Animal Services, while also learning about 911 administration and emergency response coordination.
4. Seminole County Fire Department
Saturday, May 2, 10 a.m.–noon
Fire Station 39, 5639 1st Street, Sanford
Come and explore fire trucks up close! All ages are invited to tour Seminole County’s newest and largest fire station. Check out the station’s new equipment, participate in a Fire Fitness challenge, learn hands-only CPR and see how firefighters/paramedics respond to emergencies in the community.
5. Development Services
Thursday, May 7, 6–8 p.m.
County Services Building, 1101 E. 1st Street, Sanford
Take an inside look at the Development Services team and learn how zoning, permits, and inspections help guide growth in Seminole County. Meet the Code Enforcement team and learn how they partner with residents to strengthen and protect our neighborhoods.
6. Parks and Recreation
Saturday, May 9, 10 a.m.–noon
Central Branch Library, 215 N. Oxford Rd., Casselberry
Come check out how the Parks and Recreation Department helps make Seminole County Florida’s Natural Choice! Visit the Central Branch Library to enjoy storytime with our children’s librarians, meet animals up close from the Nature Center, and discover the various programs and events offered through UF/IFAS Extension Services and the Museum of Seminole County History.
