Today most film auditions are via your smartphone. Casting directors expect quality self tapes on short notice. And there’s an art to crafting a great selftape.
Award-winning actor and experienced coach and teacher Lukas Loughran has long experience booking international parts in films and TV series from self tapes. He has tricks of the trade to pass on to actors at any level interested in sharpening their self tape skills.
The workshop will help you make your best self tape - but will also show how to present yourself to get the part when called for audition.
Lukas teaches you acting tips and guides you in your work on a given scene that will be recorded during the workshop. He also teaches line learning techniques - plus how to work with light and sound, how to edit and send your self tapes.
Some acting experience and/or previous courses/education is recommended.
Participants need to bring their own smartphones with video recording ability.
Scenes will be provided in English if not other is requested. If Norwegian or Swedish is preferred, please notify upon application.

Saturday 10:00 - 17:00
10-12 Presentation/Slate
12-13 Casting, actors are given scenes
13-14 Lunch
14-15 Script analysis and line learning techniques
15-17 How to set up and record. Prep for Sunday recordings
(17-18 Individual work on scenes)
Sunday 10.00- 18:30
(09:30-10 Set up)
10-12:30 Record the first 3-4 actors/scenes
12:30-13:30 Lunch
13:30-17:30 Record all the actors/scenes
17:30 - 18:30 How to edit and send.
