Black Girl Joy CPL Certification Class
A day for Black women to learn, laugh, and get empowered together.
Join us for a supportive, welcoming CPL education experience created specifically for Black women. This class covers Michigan gun laws, firearm safety, and the legal steps required for CPL certification, plus hands on instruction at the range so you can learn how to shoot with confidence.
You will be taught by Black instructors who understand the importance of safety, dignity, and community:
Robert Hollis and Dion Jones, a proud Black Girl Joy member.
No pressure. No posturing. Just knowledge, skill building, and community.
Who can attend
Black women ages 21 and over
What is included
• CPL legal education
• Firearm safety and handling
• Hands on range instruction
• Instruction by Black certified instructors
• A safe, respectful learning space
• A full Lunch and snacks will be provided
• Carpooling encouraged

Non Members
$125 for the day
Payment is collected after registration. Once you register, a payment link will be sent to you.
Important requirement
You must have a valid Michigan driver’s license or state ID in order to receive CPL certification.

This is a limited seating event. Registering here reserves your spot pending payment. A deposit will be required to finalize your seat. More details will be shared after registration.
