This in-person event is designed for anyone who wants to strengthen awareness, confidence, and personal-safety skills.
You’ll learn practical principles you can apply immediately — to recognize danger earlier, set boundaries, and protect yourself if needed.
This workshop lays the foundation for prevention, verbal strategies, and realistic physical concepts. (Part 2 expands into ground defense and scenario-based training.)

Bill Stedman is the owner of Safe Milwaukee Self Defense and has over 13 years of experience teaching self-defense, violence prevention, CPR, and crisis response.
Bill is also a career firefighter/paramedic with nearly three decades of service, bringing real-world insight, calm leadership, and practical strategies to every workshop.
His approach blends awareness, prevention, and communication skills with simple, effective physical concepts that anyone can learn — no martial arts background required.

- Ages 16 and above: Welcome to attend independently
- Ages 12–15: May attend with a parent, sibling, friend, or responsible adult who is also registered
