Self Care Yoga For Parents: A 4-Week Therapeutic Yoga Series
Hey parents, spring is here! Need a moment to yourself?
Join us for Self-Care Yoga, a gentle, therapeutic 4-week yoga series designed just for parents. These in-person sessions offer a supportive space to slow down, reconnect with your body, and restore your nervous system through mindful movement, breath, and reflection.
This series blends trauma-informed yoga, somatic practices, and guided reflection to help parents navigate stress, burnout, and the emotional demands of caregiving. Each session is designed to meet you where you are; tired, overwhelmed, stretched thin, or simply needing a pause; and offer tools for regulation, rest, and self-compassion.
No yoga experience is necessary. Come as you are.
What to Expect

- Simple somatic tools you can use in everyday life
- Opportunities for reflection and integration (sharing always optional)
- A pace that honors exhaustion, transition, and care

Who It’s For:
Parents at any stage who are experiencing stress, overwhelm, or burnout and want a supportive space for restoration and connection.
Intention:
To offer parents a space for nervous system regulation, embodied reflection, and permission to rest in a culture that often expects constant performance.
Weekly Themes
Week 1: Understanding Stress in the Nervous System
Normalize stress and burnout, reduce shame and self-blame, and learn the basics of how the nervous system responds to stress.
Practice focus: Grounding and orienting to the senses.
Week 2: Burnout, Overload & Boundary Awareness
Explore the difference between burnout and fatigue, recognize invisible labor, and begin understanding boundaries as bodily experiences.
Practice focus: Expansive vs. contractive postures.
Week 3: Emotional Regulation & Self-Soothing
Build awareness of emotional escalation and practice tools for calming and regulating the nervous system.
Practice focus: Gentle rhythmic flow synchronized with breath.
Week 4: Sustainable Self-Care & Integration
Reframe self-care as a sustainable practice and create realistic practices that support ongoing wellbeing.
Practice focus: Developing simple rituals to carry forward beyond the series.
