About this Event
Join us for an evening of creating your own self care handbook with a team of psychologists (The Psychology Connection), using scrapbooking and journalling methods and helpful prompts to create a toolkit, individual to you, to act as a reminder for when you need it most.
What is a self care handbook?
A self care handbook is a visual form of reminders for your compassionate self, which you can use as a resource to guide you in difficult moments or when you need some helpful reminders. It can be used to inspire, motivate, calm, or soothe when you need it most. The idea is to create something completely personal to you and your mental wellbeing to help with self compassion and nervous system regulation, to act as a reminder when things feel difficult.
What will we do in the session?
In this session we will work on creating and decorating your own handbook using gentle prompts as well as creating some compassion cards which will act as grounding reminders. We'll also create some SOS slips for tough moments to pick up when thinking feels hard.
