Self-Care & Resiliency (4 day course)

This 4-week course will explore how trauma can effect individuals working in a caring profession. Students will learn how trauma can be transmitted to the worker and how this transmission can lead to compassion fatigue. They will understand the components of compassion fatigue and the effects on the worker, and from there, develop a programme of self-care for the worker to prevent the development of compassion fatigue.
The course will begin Friday 20th February, and continue 27th February, 6th March and conclude 13th March. Each session will last from 10.00am to 4.00pm.
