About this Event
Join the Black Women's Wellness Community for an immersive sound healing experience, led by Sekhem energy healer, sound meditation teacher, and Reiki Master Jaha Browne.
We are going through tumultuous times as a collective, so this event is designed to help you reconnect with your natural energetic rhythm, feel more grounded, and find inner peace.
Our gathering includes:
A Community Circle:
We will start with a community circle where we can share how we are feeling at this time and engage in journaling based prompts. This will be a safe space to share and connect.
Sekhem & Sound Session:
This will be where you are immersed by the sounds of the gong. Jaha will either give you hands on or send the Sekhem energy healing distantly during the session.
Sekhem means power & might, its lineage is from Kemet known as Egypt today. Sekhem is a beautiful practice that supports the mind, body and soul to release and realign.
What to Bring:
- Comfortable clothes and extra layers (body temperatures can drop during sound healing)
- An eye mask or something to cover your eyes
- A blanket
- A bottle of water
- A journal or paper and pen
- Yoga mats will be provided, but feel free to bring your own if preferred

If you or anyone you are booking for suffers from low/high blood pressure, cardiac irregularities, epilepsy, or carries a pacemaker, please ensure you/they are cleared by a medical professional to participate in this event.
Additionally, it’s advised that those in the first trimester of pregnancy abstain from participating.
