Seed collecting at Shaugh Prior

Join us at the very start of a wonderful two-year cycle which ends with planting new native broadleaved woodlands in South Devon.

We will spend the day walking through ancient semi-natural woodland and along hedgerows collecting native broadleaved tree seeds, which in the coming weeks we will process and get them ready to grow into the trees of the future.

We will be running a free pick-up service from our Dartington tree nursery, or nearby public transport locations for volunteers. To book a space please call Hannah Mattison on 07852961055 before 5pm on Thurs (19th Sept). Please note that there is limited seating, so spaces will be given on a first come, first serve basis.

BOOKING IS ESSENTIAL.

If you have booked a ticket for this event but are not able to make it to the session, we ask you to please cancel your booking to allow other volunteers to sing up and to make the team aware.

We provide refreshments of cake, biscuits and squash, as well as all of the equipment required to undertake the task in hand on the day.

Please bring with you the following: water, weather-appropriate clothing, snacks, lunch, and sturdy footwear.
