About this Event
Every year, communities around the world join together for the 16 Days of Activism to End Gender-Based Violence from November 25th to December 10th. This year we have a packed calendar of events and initatives to get involved with, including this exciting event at the Carleton Place Library.
"See It. Name It. Change It!" is an awareness campaign focused on the role that we can all play in ending gender-based violence (GBV) and intimate partner violence (IPV) in our communities. Join us for a meaningful discussion about how to implement "See It. Name It. Change It!" in your life, so you can be part of the solution to ending gender-based violence.
Discussion will cover the following topics:
- Information about Lanark County Interval House, and the programs and services we offer for women and children in the community
- Understanding the epidemic of GBV and IPV in our communities
- Types of abuse and the impact on survivors/victims and their loved ones
- How to implement "See It. Name It. Change It!" and become part of the solution - including tips for bystander intervention
If you have any questions or concerns please contact Sadie Kotze, Public Education Coordinator at Lanark County Interval House, at [email protected] or 613-257-3467.
We hope to see you there!
