The DAF Security Force Executive Board (SFEB) is the primary opportunity for SF senior leaders to make decisions impacting the career field.About this Event
SITUATION. This instruction details the arrangements for the SFEB 24-1 which will take place over two days (20-21 May) with travel days on 19 and 22 May. The SFEB is sponsored and chaired by the Director of Security Forces, Major General Thomas Sherman, and will be facilitated by AF/A4S Governance and Strategy. The SFEB will be an in-person meeting at the HQ AF Security Forces Center, JBSA-Lackland. Questions relating to the SFEB 24-1 should be directed Lt Col Drew Gehler or Mr. Adrian Alexandrino.
Attendance/ Membership: Each MAJCOM shall be represented by the MAJCOM A4S or Civilian equivalent and Security Forces Manager. SFEB voting members are from AFCENT, AFMC, ACC, AETC, AFGSC, USSF (linked to AFMC), AMC, AFRC, USAFE, PACAF, AFSOC, NGB, AFDW and AFSFC, with AFIMSC/IZP, USAFA and AFLCMC HBU being non-voting members. Other MAJCOM or AFIMSC designated representatives must be approved by the SFEB Chair. Senior leadership from across the AF may be invited to participate as advisors or attendees through the Strategy and Governance team. Briefers/SMEs are welcome to attend or dial in via teams during their specific presentation and follow-on discussion. Once complete they will be invited to depart the SFEB conference area.
Agenda. The agenda is TBD
Venue. The SFEB will be an in-person meeting at the HQ AF Security Forces Center Conference Room, JBSA-Lackland. The event POCs will be at the building lobby each morning. Members are requested to meet at 0815 in the lobby. This will assist us for a 0900-start time each day. We will go over escort/access details in the opening admin comments on Day 1.
Classification. SFEB 24-1 will be able to reach CUI level of classification.
Presentations/ Briefs. It is requested that all speakers email their finalized presentations by 03 May 2024. If you have issues emailing or using DoDSAFE for your presentation, then please contact the primary POC to arrange alternative means of transmission.

Dress. Dress for attendees will be OCPs or Business Attire.
Accommodation: Reservations on/off base is the responsibility of the attendee.
Transportation. Transportation cannot be provided by A4S. Participants are required to make their own travel arrangements.
Parking. There is parking in the SFC building. However, the parking gets quite busy, carpooling is recommended.
Cost/ Landing Fee. There will be a $25 landing fee to be paid via this eventbrite link.
Refreshments and Meals. The landing fee per person is to be paid via this event brite site and will cover the costs of coffee/water/soda and light snacks over the two days during breaks.
Social. The Director of Security Forces has requested a Social be planned for the evening of 20 May 2024 and will be pay-as-you-go event. More information is forthcoming and will be briefed during the admin portion on day 1 of the SFEB.
