Speaker Details:

Name: Sean Keys, ATU WiSAR Technology Gateway

Profile:

Sean Keys is Lead Systems & Software Engineer at ATU’s WiSAR Technology Gateway and has led ATU Test Before Invest services for the Data2Sustain consortium for the past three years. Under his leadership, WiSAR delivered three AI innovation projects last year, supporting the translation of advanced digital capabilities into real-world outcomes for SMEs.

With over 16 years of industrial experience prior to joining ATU in 2018, Sean has held roles across Automotive Supply Chain Management, Tier-1 Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS), and Operations Management in the Biomedical device sector. This background brings a strong implementation and delivery focus to digital innovation challenges—particularly where solutions must be robust, cost-effective, and deployable within constrained environments.

Sean’s technical work spans blockchain, IoT systems, cloud architecture, and edge computing, with an emphasis on converting emerging technologies into measurable business value. At ATU, he supervises postgraduate research in blockchain applications, manages technical infrastructure for remote monitoring and telemetry systems, and develops digital maturity assessment tools for regional industries. His research interests include blockchain architectures, agentic AI deployment, and edge computing solutions for traditional industries.
