About this Event
This Purbeck Goes Wild event is exclusively for families living in Purbeck or those who work or have established ties within the Purbeck community.
Step onto Wareham’s ancient Saxon walls with local historian Heather Scharnhorst and let curious minds lead the way. This gentle adventure traces the thousand‑year story of the town’s defences while inviting families to notice the wildlife, textures, and hidden details that bring the landscape to life. Along the route, there’s time to pause for snacks, tumble down grassy slopes, and explore the natural world that has grown around these remarkable earthworks.
