Visit us each month on Second Saturdays to explore history and hands-on crafts at our riverfront Maritime Center. April 11: Poems in a Bottle - Do you know how sailors had fun on long ocean voyages? Take a hands-on poetry adventure with us. Write a mad-lib-style sea chantey that's wacky & fun. Then decorate a bottle & place your chantey inside — just like sailors at sea! Celebrate National Poetry Month at the Kalmar Nyckel Foundation’s Maritime Museum! Activity included in Winter Admission: $5/adult, $3/ages 5-12, under three is free.

June 13: The Great American Beaver Scavenger Hunt, a family-friendly event. Complete a scavenger hunt in Fort Christina Park focused on world trade in early America while you collect while the pieces to make their own American beaver. July 11 at Fort Christina State Park for "What's in a Flag?” This fun and educational family-friendly program explores the origins and symbolism of four flags related to the history of Christina Park: the Swedish, Finnish, Stars and Stripes (American), and Delaware State flags.
