Join us on Saturday, February 8 at either 11:00 AM or 1:00 PM as we show some love for our Chandler and Price "Clamshell" letterpress.
About this Event

We're bringing back a Center tradition: The Second Saturday Book Arts Series. These three- to four-hour work-along sessions often involve creating a book structure or providing a hands-on demonstration of a bookmaking or printing technique.

Join us on Saturday, February 8 between 11 AM and 3 PM as we show some love to our Chandler and Price "Clamshell" type letterpress.

Lana Lambert will host this drop-in Second Saturday session featuring the printing of Valentine-inspired ephemera on our 1888 vintage C&P plantin letterpress.
Plan on spending a few hours with us as Lana demonstrates type lockup, press setup, and printing on what was the workhorse of the pre-offset local printshop.
We are asking folks to register (at no charge) for one of the two demonstration sessions as standing space around the C&P press is quite limited.

Workshop Registration and Fees

There is no registration fee for this workshop
As standing space is limited around the press we ask that folks drop in either from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM or from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM
Due to C&P's exposed moving mechanism, it is recommended that children do not attend
