Is there frost on the pumpkins in Minnesota? Are the boats out of the water? Is it time for some singing at The Dubliner? On Monday, October 13th, there is definitely going to be singing at The Dubliner! We will be raising the roof with songs about oceans, sailing, fishing, whales, rivers or, even, canals. If you want to lead a song for us remember that it should stick to those topics and it should have a chorus or repeating refrain that people can sing along with. No instruments! No song sheets! Just singing. In harmony if at all possible. Song leaders: remember that we encourage you to know your song well enough to be able to get up and lead it without much, if any, reference to memory aids -- lyric sheets or phone screens. If possible. To get on the list of song leaders for the evening, look for Bonnie-Jean MacKay who will be our song herder for the evening. As always, remember to tip the bar staff well, treat everyone around you as a friend and sing your hearts out with enthusiasm. Oh, and please keep the room quiet so that our unamplified song leaders can be heard. It's all about the harmony.
