Hello All,
Looks like next Sunday at 2 p.m. will be another Second Sunday Session. The weather has been wonderful on the Vista Patio so it should be a great time on the estuary. Steve Hall, Irfan and Thoraya will be spearheading this month's event as Cindy and I have the unfortunate duty (joke inserted here) of having to spend two weeks in La Paz Mexico sailing. I know, your heart goes out to us but we will just have to endure. I know you guys will have a fantastic time and I look forward to hearing how it went when we get back.
On the music front, we have been talking about the idea of performing next month's Second Sunday as a Second Friday Evening so we can go caroling some of the local spots near OYC. The idea is to start at OYC and maybe visit the Pacific LightHouse, Marina Village, Panomar Apartments and then Encinal. Some of us would be playing our instruments and others could just sing along. Some of us have PA's that are battery powered so we could amp this (after putting it in a cart) for additional sound. This idea came about over dinner and drinks the other day so we are in the development stage at this [oint. Please submit ideas or suggestions if you have any. Ben at OYC is supportive and is onboard with the idea. So, December 12th starting at 6 pm at OYC then off to the other locations. I will reach out to the locations to make sure everything is cool but this looks like a really fun night (or at least it felt that way over a couple beers at the club).
How about decorations? Lighting up a couple carts ( good for hauling supplies ) ? Outfits for us? We could pick out a couple easy christmas songs (probably no more than two or three at each location) and if we want to practice, I've been given the green light to use the Regard Room for practice some evening during the week.
