Second Annual Lung Cancer Conference
The Future of Lung Cancer Care
Presented by Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center
Join us for an inspiring day that showcases how innovation, collaboration, and compassionate care are shaping a new era in lung-cancer treatment—right here in Nashville.
Over the past five years, lung cancer care has been transformed. Despite remaining opportunities and challenges, lung cancer has seen unprecedented improvements in patient outcomes and survival, driven by earlier detection, advanced imaging, minimally invasive procedures, and breakthroughs in targeted and immune-based therapies.
According to the State of Lung Cancer report from the American Lung Association, five-year survival has nearly doubled in just a decade, reflecting progress that is changing what patients and families can expect.
To celebrate and share this momentum, the Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center invites you to The Future of Lung Cancer Care, a one-day educational event open to patients, families, clinicians, and community members. This year’s conference will highlight revolutionary advancements across all disciplines, spanning diagnosis, surgery, radiation oncology, and medical oncology, with presentations from leading national and international experts including Dr. Daniel Sterman (New York University), Dr. Mohamed Shanshal (Mayo Clinic), and Dr. Joseph Mammarappallil (Duke University) and many Vanderbilt faculty members.
TOPICS INCLUDE:
• Advances in early detection and diagnostic precision
• Breakthroughs in minimally invasive biopsy and surgical techniques
• The expanding role of targeted therapy and immunotherapy
• Evolving approaches to survivorship and supportive care
