A walk for Liv 🤍Olivia was my very best friend for 15 years, 9 months, and 6 days until her passing last August. She sparked my interest in animal behaviour, she got me into dog sports, she inspired me to find a kinder, more positive approach to training dogs. Livie was my first demo dog, my first assistant dog, I started the business on her birthday, she's the namesake, and her face is our logo! She is the reason Liv Better exists.
Please join us on Saturday, September 13th at 2pm for a group walk in her honor and a fundraiser for our friends at the SPCA St. John's!
We are collecting cash donations and supplies from now until the event with the goal of raising $365 to sponsor a kennel in her name 🩷

Please review the rules listed below prior to attending and be respectful of other park users.
Rules:
1. Always, always, ALWAYS clean up after your dog! Don't have a bag? Ask, I have extras!
2. Keep to the right and be courteous of other people using the park. Keep in mind some people are fearful of dogs and multiple coming in their direction may be overwhelming.
3. Always ask before introducing yourself or your dog to another. Everyone will be at different phases in their training and some are more comfortable than others with introductions. DO NOT allow your dog to greet another without direct permission from their handler first.
4. I strongly discourage the use of retractable leashes but if that's your preference, please keep them locked for the duration of the walk. You must have control of your dog at all times.
We'll be meeting at Bowring park in the main gravel parking lot on the **left-hand** side (this is furthest from the dog park and the main entrance). We're going to take Liv's favorite route so I hope you're up for a strange little adventure. She preferred to lead the way and take us off the beaten path whenever possible and this was often the route she chose when we went to Bowring together. It will be a fairly easy walk for those of you with senior dogs - it will take us through some grassy fields and along some of the smaller back trails. We'll finish up in the field next to the main entrance for some doggy snacks and a few of our class obstacles!

You don't have to be a client of mine to attend, you don't even have to own a dog - I always have multiple if you want one to walk 😉
